Building Bridges
Our strategic partners financially support us to expand our work - either through developing new programmes or extending into new areas. We couldn’t grow without them and thank them for all their support.
Our employer partners periodically host visits to their workplaces by groups of students, who get a chance to meet employees and ask questions. Volunteers and students then get to work on a challenge that gives a flavour of what the organisation does.

The Building Bridges programme supports people across Swindon & Wiltshire who are facing significant barriers and challenges in their lives.

The programme helps to build each person’s confidence, develop skills and gain the experience they need to achieve and sustain ongoing education & employment.

It is delivered by an experienced partnership of local organisations who work together collectively to share their skills & experience to support people.  Over the last four years they have helped someone into work or education every two days.

Each individual that joins the programme is matched to a key worker who works with them on a one to one basis to develop a personalised action plan to help them address the challenges they are facing and achieve their goals at a pace they are comfortable with.  Participation in the programme is entirely voluntary and free.

They can support young people aged 15-18 who are at risk of not being in education, employment or training and anyone over 18 who is not in employment – further details can be found on their website.

The programme is part of the National Building Better Opportunities programme funded jointly by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
