Simon Hill
Head of Partnerships

Simon joined Enabling Enterprise in September 2013 from the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. Simon is a parent governor of Furzedown Primary School, where he works with governors, staff and parents to ensure that the school continues to improve and that all children enjoy a stimulating learning environment.

Simon leads on Enabling Enterprise’s links with the businesses and employers who support our work. Simon is also responsible for Enabling Enterprise’s fundraising to ensure that our plans to reach 120,000 children per year by 2019 are achieved.

Robert Craig
Head of Operations and Strategy

Robert is responsible for the strategic direction and running of Enabling Enterprise as an organisation. As treasurer of an alternative provision school in Hackney he came to see the importance of educational outcomes, particularly for those from less privileged backgrounds.

Prior to Enabling Enterprise, Robert worked in Public Sector Strategy and Operations at KPMG as well as at Social Finance.

Chris Cuckson
Interim Head of School Programmes

With a degree in Italian and music, Chris’s career started in media, organising BAFTA ceremonies and working in TV production. Then changing course with a desire to make a difference, he trained to become a primary class teacher and phase leader in Hackney.

Chris joined Enabling Enterprise after having seen the impact of the projects in his own school. Chris leads our work in North London, and in the East of England and loves running projects in schools and businesses which help prepare young people for success in the real world, while still having lots of fun along the way!

Maryam Darby
‍‍
Interim Head of School Network

Prior to working at Enabling Enterprise, Maryam was a Primary School Teacher for 7 years in a South London School. She discovered a passion for project-driven learning teaching her students about the media industry with the Lambeth CLC, The Southbank Centre and the BFI.

This inspired Maryam to work for Enabling Enterprise, where she now manages the South London & South East region.

Claire Bayley
‍‍‍
Regional Manager North of England

Claire always wanted to be a teacher, and share her love of history. Following her degree, Claire taught for 10 years in Oldham, taking on a variety of roles including accreditation as an Advanced Skills Teacher, Lead Practitioner and as Specialist Leader in Education specialising in Initial Teacher Education.

She brings this passion for learning and for developing enterprise skills to her role at Enabling Enterprise in her role as Regional Manager for the North West.

Richard Hart
‍‍‍
Regional Manager Midlands & South West

Richard joined Enabling Enterprise in 2017 and leads our work across the Midlands and South West England. His passion for education and business innovation spans over 25 years of working with children and young people as a teacher and curriculum advisory in primary, secondary and initial teacher training settings.

Richard has headed music education and cultural service organisations in the West Midlands and East of England regions and has led business development and transformation programmes across a range of education, heritage and cultural service organisations.

Our strategic partners financially support us to expand our work - either through developing new programmes or extending into new areas. We couldn’t grow without them and thank them for all their support.
Our partner organisations apply the Skills Builder Framework within their work and provide additional support within the Partnership through resource collaboration, advocacy and shared expertise. Their unique contributions to the growth and impact of the Partnership is highly valued.
Our strategic partners financially support us to expand our work - either through developing new programmes or extending into new areas. We couldn’t grow without them and thank them for all their support.
Our employer partners periodically host visits to their workplaces by groups of students, who get a chance to meet employees and ask questions. Volunteers and students then get to work on a challenge that gives a flavour of what the organisation does.

Our team

Many of our team - and all those working directly with schools - are qualified teachers, operating from our different bases in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
