Throughout the term, students have been busy developing their Enterprise Skills by taking part in their Lesson Time Projects. Year 4 are preparing their new, healthy range of bars to share with parents and members of the community. Meanwhile, Year 1 are busy thinking about their gallery opening for The Great Exhibition.

Retail Revamp
The day started off with students interviewing volunteers to find out about their different roles, responsibilities and the Essential Skills required to do their jobs. They particularly focused on how the volunteers use both Creativity and Teamwork in their roles. Students then went on a tour of the retail space, which allowed the teams to see the great variety of jobs available in the retail industry. Next, the students needed to design a brand-new retail space. Having looked at some examples they put together the perfect floor plan, making sure to consult their volunteers on placement of key requirements such as tills and product displays. Finally, the teams presented their ideas back to a panel of volunteer judges by giving them a virtual tour of their new premises, showing off how well they could use both their Teamwork and Creativity Skills.

Taking inspiration from the creative displays of teamwork at White Stuff
I feel kind of inspired. I think I would like to do this when I grow up and decide what sort of clothes to put in different shops.
Student, Year 6
I enjoyed working as a team because you have fun. It makes you happier with what you make because we put all our ideas together.
Student, Year 6
I've been impressed by how quickly they understood the challenge at hand and included creative ideas from aspects they had seen on our office tour.
