Greenfield School
Based in Woking in Surrey, Greenfield School have been working with Enabling Enterprise since 2017. The school seeks to encourage and develop a range of gifts and talents amongst its pupils through a wealth of opportunities for children to develop their interests and experiences outside of the normal timetable, and many opportunities for non-academic pursuits. The school’s work with Enabling Enterprise aims to offer the students further opportunities to develop their skills, experiences and aspirations. In school, these skills are developed through exciting Challenge Days and by working on Lesson-Time Projects, whilst trips to employers allow students to apply these skills in a range of sectors by working alongside professional from various businesses and organisations. Greenfield also invite students from other local schools to participate in Challenge Days alongside their students, giving students of all ages a unique opportunity to work alongside unfamiliar team mates in a true test of teamwork.

Pitch Perfect
The students started their day by meeting volunteers and learning about their hosts before touring the premises to get a better picture of what working there is like. Then they worked in teams to understand how banks can support businesses with their finances and started their challenge for the day. Their challenge was to secure a loan for a new business venture of their devising before running the initial set up of the business. The teams really had to demonstrate their Leadership and Presenting skills throughout the challenge, but especially at the end of the day when they presented their achievements back to a panel of volunteers.

They work on these skills in school which is great but coming here is when they really see them in action. Working in an office space with professionals and getting some fantastic feedback from those in the business just makes it so real for them.
Teacher, Greenfield
I'm so impressed by what they have done. To do so much in a short space of time is incredible and shows just how well they have worked together and helped each other. It's great to see.
Volunteer, RBS
We have shown good Leadership today because we communicated with each other, let everybody be involved and got the jobs done together.
