Rise KS3 & KS4 Learning Resources

Developed with Causeway Education and Rise partners, Rise offers free KS3, GCSE, and N5 resources that empower students to enrich their learning and explore diverse career pathways. These engaging classroom activities, across multiple subjects, guide learners in understanding the vital link between their school curriculum and future workplace skills.

Each activity is supported by a student worksheet and a teacher guide. Student worksheets prominently display the Skills Builder outcome, including the skill icon and the specific step being addressed in the task. Worksheets conclude with a student self-reflection, prompting learners with a step-specific question, such as: "On a scale of 1-10, how frequently are you able to use facts and examples when speaking?"

Teacher guides offer comprehensive support for delivering the activity, including definitions of key terms and strategies for encouraging student reflection on the focus skill step. For instance, for "Speaking Step 7: I speak engagingly by using facts and examples to support my points," the guide provides a link to further framework details and four teacher reflection questions designed to facilitate honest and accurate student evaluation. Examples include: "What are facts and statistics? Why can they help structure an argument?" and "How can you build facts and statistics into speaking? When have you seen this done well?"
