This programme by African Entrepreneurs Organization delivers structured skills training to inmates in Kooki Region (Uganda), with the aim of supporting personal transformation, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration into society. The programme combines essential skills development, vocational exposure, and entrepreneurship mindset training, focusing on communication, self-management, teamwork, problem solving, and employability. Learning is delivered through facilitated workshops, practical group activities, and real-life simulations aligned to the Skills Builder Framework. Ongoing mentoring, reflection sessions, and progress reviews are embedded throughout the programme, with a final evaluation to support continued skills development beyond incarceration.

The programme supports essential skills development through intentional design and reflection. Essential Skills Builder icons are embedded in all learning materials and referenced during each session. Programme activities are structured to progress inmates through specific Skills Builder Framework steps, from understanding to application. Inmates reflect on targeted skills at the start and end of the programme through guided self-assessment and facilitator feedback, enabling progress tracking and reinforcing skills linked to rehabilitation, employability, and reintegration.
