SKILLVAULT was created in 2025 to provide essential skills training to high school seniors, undergraduate students, fresh graduates and early career professionals. This annual bootcamp is 100% virtual, giving individuals the opportunity to participate regardless of location.
The 4 main modules in this bootcamp center around ‘Communication and Connection’, ‘Creative Thinking’, ‘Self-Leadership’, and ‘Agency’. Our team is readily available to coordinate, monitor, evaluate and provide support throughout the bootcamp.
We hold periodic check-in meetings to ensure the training is delivered to standard as well as a graduation ceremony and a Closure / Lessons Learned call at the end of the bootcamp. Finally, we prepare a report to present to our Board of Directors and Partners.
Within our training manual, we have included the skills and skill definitions for all the Essential skills. SKILLVAULT exists to promote the importance of these skills, as well as including practical activities to be executed during the teaching. Relevant links to Skills Builder Universal Framework core content ideas are given to facilitators so they can teach the young people information about the chosen skill steps.
To ensure uniformity of language, format and expectations, we begin each bootcamp cycle with a facilitator onboarding session where we educate facilitators on all the expectations we have of their specific modules within the bootcamp, the proficiency level intended for participants to have achieved, as well as practice activities to help achieve the stated proficiency level.
