Tech Collaborative Internship

Tech Collaborative is a nonprofit training the next generation of technology creators while delivering low-cost digital services to nonprofits. Our trimester internship moves non-traditional interns through three integrated tracks. Essential Skills develops core capabilities like communication, problem solving, collaboration, leadership, and self-management. Professional Skills builds web development, AI, and programming capabilities. Client Work connects interns directly to live projects for real clients. Nonprofits gain affordable tech support, while interns build meaningful portfolios and accelerate career readiness through real-world experience.

Tech Collaborative’s educational workforce development internship integrates the Skills Builder Framework for lifelong skill application. Interns track progress using pre- and post-program Benchmark assessments. Facilitators introduce weekly skills using official framework names, definitions, and icons. Interns then practice and apply these competencies to real-world technical tasks and live client projects, supported by weekly SMART goal setting and reflections.
