The Asante Africa Foundation Youth Livelihood Program supports secondary school students to build practical skills for future employment and entrepreneurship. Through school-based clubs and community activities, the programme integrates essential skills such as leadership and communication into real-life learning experiences. Learners engage in peer mentoring, project-based learning, and business idea development, enabling them to apply skills in meaningful contexts. The programme is designed for accessibility in rural settings, combining in-person facilitation with digital tools like Kolibri. This approach strengthens learners’ confidence, resilience, and readiness for further education, employment, or self-employment.
The programme provides structured opportunities for learners to actively practice skills such as leadership and communication within real-life contexts. Skills are explicitly named and integrated into sessions, with activities like role plays, peer mentoring, and group projects enabling application. Learners engage in guided reflections aligned to skill steps, allowing them to assess their progress and build confidence in applying these skills in school and community settings.
