This programme involves a series of workshops that support teachers to reflect on and develop Essential Skills.

It is a hybrid learning programme that combines a face-to-face classroom workshop for the teachers and an online Training-of-Trainer programme for the lead teacher on this programme in a School.

Facilitated by Concinnity staff, the 3-hour Face-to-Face interactive workshop centres on the Universal Framework and tools and resources.  The facilitators draw on the teachers’ insights and experience as real-life case studies to contextual Essential Skills in various occupational and life situations, and particularly focussing on the Schools own context.

During the online Train-the-Trainer session for the Skills Leaders, to support continual and incremental learning, a sequence of tasks and activities are scaffolded online to build the capability of the Skills Leaders to implement the programme in their School.

The teachers complete the Skills Builder Benchmark to assess their current Listening Skills.  A facilitated a reflection session then takes place to give the teachers’ space to reflect on the Benchmark self-assessment Result Report.

The teachers are encouraged to keep a reflective journal to capture their thoughts and set learning goals throughout their Essential Skills leaning journey.
