Leadership bootcamp for career development and student leaders

The Skills Builder framework is used to measure how much the program is helping students build upon themselves. Students take a survey at the beginning and the end of the programme and are asked to reflect on the steps of Leadership from the Universal Framework. This reflection asks students to reflect on the importance they place on essential skill steps linked to Leadership and Teamwork. It also reflects on the degree of improved self confidence students now have to practise these skills in their lives following the training programme. The 8 essential skills are introduced during the initial session of the onboarding of the internal team. For example in one activity students highlight on the screen which skill they would like to build further. It is explained in the slides that the Universal Framework helps to verbalise what employable skills are important to community apart from technical skills, therefore closing the skills gap for careers.
