The start of 2026 saw the most recent cohort of organisations from around the world start their journey of becoming a Skills Builder Global partner. After many applications the cohort were selected and the Fellowship journey could begin.
The Global Impact Fellowship creates space for organisations to come together to:
- Build capability: Via a series of online training sessions, access to resources and three one-to-one meetings with the Skills Builder team. Supporting the organisation on how to develop and measure essential skills in the work they are doing.
- Learn from peers: Being a member of the partnership gives the organisation access to the leading conversations and insights on essential skills, with everyone working towards the shared mission that one day, everyone will build the essential skills to succeed.
- Gain accreditation: By the end of the four month cohort the organisation applies for Skills Builder Impact Level accreditation, demonstrating the impact of their programme in building essential skills using the Universal Framework.
We have 21 wonderful organisations in the current cohort, from North America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Each organisation has selected a skills leader that attends the sessions and drives forward change within their organisation.

“It has been inspiring to see the range of work that these organisations are doing, and very motivational to hear the stories of why these organisations were set up, what problems they are solving and the impact they are having in their communities. Many support young people, some via sports while others via online programmes. There are programmes that support non-profits to thrive, others supporting people to feel confidence to craft their career paths, and some that are supporting individuals in refugee camps.

Seeing leaders from such a broad range of organisations welcome one another so warmly is truly heartening. The real magic, however, lies in the shared learning. By opening up about their unique experiences, they often find they are tackling similar hurdles, fostering a brilliant environment for collective problem-solving.
It has been great to watch this community grow and hear their enthusiasm in this first month.

“Our community members need skills they can use now. Skills that support jobs, leadership, and service. This fellowship gives us the structure to do that well.”

“We’re excited about the opportunity to be part of the Global Impact Fellowship and to support mindset shifts by equipping young professionals with the essential skills they need to thrive in their careers or businesses.”
