At Skills Builder Partnership, our vision is simple but ambitious: one day, everyone will build the essential skills to succeed. We know that for individuals to thrive, they need more than just technical knowledge. They need essential skills that underpin every stage of life. However, we also know that these skills are not always taught or measured with the same rigour as literacy or numeracy.
For impact-led organisations and NGOs working outside the UK, the challenge is often how to bridge this gap. How can a youth programme in Malaysia, a vocational training centre in Lebanon, or an employability initiative in Brazil prove that their participants are actually becoming more confident, more collaborative, and more employable?
This is where the Global Impact Fellowship comes in.
What is the Global Impact Fellowship?
The Global Impact Fellowship is a specialised, cohort-based programme designed for international, non-profit, and impact-led organisations. Over the course of 12 months, we work alongside your "Skills Leader"- a designated champion within your team- to help you embed the Skills Builder Universal Framework into your existing programmes.
It isn’t just a training course; it is a journey toward Impact Level accreditation, providing your organisation with a globally recognised hallmark of quality for essential skills development.
The Fellowship Journey
The Fellowship is structured to provide both community support and bespoke guidance. The journey typically follows a clear path:
- Connect: Meet your international cohort of peers. You’ll explore the Universal Framework and create an initial action plan tailored to your specific mission.
- Build: Through a series of online training sessions, you will learn how to adapt your curriculum, train your staff, and use our digital tools (like the Skills Builder Benchmark and Hub) to measure progress.
- Bespoke Support: You’ll receive one-to-one coaching from the Skills Builder team to tackle your unique challenges and refine your implementation.
- Achieve: At the end of the programme, your provision is assessed for an Impact Level. Once achieved, your programme is featured in our Impact Directory, showcasing your commitment to excellence to partners and funders.
