At Skills Builder Partnership, our mission is clear: one day, everyone will build the essential skills to succeed. That’s why we are thrilled to officially welcome the next cohort of the Global Impact Fellowship.
This month, we are joined by a diverse group of impact-led organisations from across the globe. From North America to South America, East Africa to Southeast Asia, these NGOs are united by a common realisation: technical knowledge isn't enough. To truly thrive, individuals need essential skills, from Teamwork, Leadership and Problem Solving.
What is the Global Impact Fellowship?
The Global Impact Fellowship is a four-month journey designed for non-profits and social enterprises outside the UK. It provides the tools and community needed to embed the Universal Framework for essential skills into their existing programs.

Our newest Fellows will spend the coming months focusing on three core pillars:
- Building capability: Through masterclasses and one-to-one coaching, organisations learn how to explicitly teach and measure skills progress.
- Peer learning: Fellows join a global community of practice, sharing solutions and successes with leaders who are tackling similar challenges in vastly different contexts.
- Gaining accreditation: The journey culminates in applying for Skills Builder Impact Level accreditation- a global mark of quality that demonstrates a program’s effectiveness in building essential skills.

Voices from the cohort
A core strength of the Global Impact Fellowship is the vibrant community of practice, allowing leaders to share their diverse challenges and unique solutions.
“The training sessions and 1:1 support sessions worked really well. The training sessions gave me an opportunity to connect with changemakers from across the world and the 1:1 support sessions helped clarify my queries and also pushed me to think beyond.”
– Skills Leader, India
“I loved how the sessions were interactive and reflective. Meeting with new people and seeing how they embed essential skills into their provisions was outstanding.”
– Skills Leader, Kenya
Why this matters now
In a rapidly shifting global economy, essential skills are the ones that endure. By the end of this fellowship, these organisations will be equipped to provide high-quality, measurable skill development to thousands of beneficiaries. They aren't just running programmes; they are shifting mindsets.
We are incredibly proud to support this cohort as they drive change within their communities. Stay tuned over the coming months as we share stories of their progress and the tangible impact they are making on the ground.
Together, we’re building a world where everyone builds the essential skills to succeed.
