Spotlight on the Global Accelerator in India: Highlights from Auxillium Convent School

At Skills Builder Global, we believe that essential skills are the foundation for success, no matter where a student is in the world. Our recent Global Educators Networking Forum showcased the incredible impact of our global network and the power of the Global Accelerator program.

The session featured inspiring stories of deep integration, international collaboration, and student-led innovation. Here are the key takeaways for our educator community:

Deep integration at Auxilium Convent School

Alisha Khan from Auxilium Convent School in India shared how the Universal Framework has become inseparable from their school’s identity. As a Gold award holder, the school has moved beyond simple implementation to deep integration:

  • An essential skills handbook: To celebrate their 75th anniversary, the school created a custom handbook for grades 6-10, designed to help students build the essential skills through lifelong reflection and activity.
  • Community outreach: They hosted a basketball tournament for local schools, personally explaining the eight essential skills in Hindi to ensure students from less privileged backgrounds could also benefit from the Universal Framework.

The India-Lebanon collaboration

One of the most exciting segments of the forum was the review of a collaborative project between Auxilium Convent School and Al Kawthar School in Lebanon. Despite project delays due to school closures in Lebanon, the results have been remarkable:

  • Radical student independence: Students worked in groups of five and took full ownership of the project. After just one initial discussion with their teacher, they managed everything from video recording and scriptwriting to creating their own costumes and jewelry for cultural presentations.
  • Finding common ground: Through the exchange, students realised that despite the distance, they share many similar experiences, from classroom decorations to assembly routines.

Skill development in action: While the project focused on Speaking and Teamwork, students also demonstrated incredible Problem Solving when navigating limited resources and external challenges.

“It is a privilege to see how educators at Auxilium School, India and Al Kawthar School, Lebanon have brought the Accelerator Programme to life. Their ability to blend global best practices with their own unique school cultures is inspiring, and we are proud to support their dedication.”
