Amey was founded in 1921 by William Amey as a quarrying company in Oxfordshire. They are now leaders in infrastructure services and engineering. Some of their projects tackle climate change too, for example through waste treatment. There are 14,000 people working for Amey, maintaining hundreds of miles of the UK's roads and rail networks, designing projects and giving professional advice on some of the most complex problems in the public sector. Their main clients are in both local and national government.
