Lifepilot logo - green and white on blue

Lifepilot is a free one stop careers website for adults which provides information and advice on learning, work, training, apprenticeships, courses and support to progress onto higher education.

In the 'Improve your skills' section of Lifepilot the skills builder essential skills are mapped to skills that are known to be valued by Higher Education providers. Some of the skills are more specific to preparation for academic study but in the 'get skilled' section the Skills Builder Essential Skills are included as they map well to the headings for more generic skills. The Improve Your Skills resource helps adults to develop their essential skills through a series of headings that provide information and encourage adults to complete a series of tasks through reflective thinking. Links to Skills Builder have been provided under each 'Get Skilled' heading where appropriate to encourage them to create an account to assess and improve their essential skills.
