Build essential skills with the new Primary Careers Resources Platform

The Skills Builder Partnership is delighted to be working with the Careers & Enterprise Company to deliver a new directory of Primary School resources to help develop and deliver compelling careers education programmes for primary pupils.

The Primary Careers Resources Platform provides easy-to-use tools, information and resources that will help primary educators to deliver career-related learning. In addition, educators will be able to filter everything by the skills outlined in the Skills Builder Framework.

Career-related learning in primary schools is about broadening pupil's horizons, challenging stereotypes and helping them develop the skills and sense of self that will enable them to reach their full potential. It can have a lasting impact on pupils' perceptions of different occupations and how these link to learning in school.

Tools and resources on the Primary Careers Resources Platform will help:

  • Teachers to identify opportunities to embed career-related learning
  • Inspire teachers to think of creative ways to link the school’s curriculum to the world of work
  • Engage parents and employers in career-related learning

Whether you're new to career-related learning or have been doing it for some time, this platform will help develop an approach that will broaden pupils’ horizons. The resources showcased on the Platform are free to download and are from a range of organisations like ours that have been funded to test what works at primary.
