What's been going on in August 2019

Hello! We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer.

We have some exciting news: Over the past few months, we have been working away in the background to reimagine the Skills Builder Hub.

We've listened to ideas from users and added some great new features, including more resources for every age and stage, ways to find what you want faster, and to track impact on learners as you go.

There are more updates from across the 800 organisations now in the Partnership too.

We’ve added a suite of new and upgraded resources for building essential skills, which join the huge range already available. We’ve made it easier to find the right resources for everyone, while helping you see the impact. There are a host of new features based on our award-winning approach:

  • Browse and filter resources by skill, step, length and type
  • Resources for every skill at every step
  • See the impact with group-level formative assessment
  • Get an overview of group progress, helping you decide next steps

We're delighted to be partnering with Accenture, who will help support schools across the UK to develop essential skills. We've also started to work with Linklaters to embedding our approach into their work with young people. Finally, we've forged new partnerships with Onfido and Mercia Technologies.

We're excited to be working with new organisations this year to embed our approach to building skills into their everyday work. Recent partners include Unifrog, an online platform where students can find and apply for the best next step for them after school; and Green Schools Project, which supports forward thinking schools across the UK to get students to lead whole school projects that improve their local and wider environment.

We're deeply grateful for all your support so far. Working together is by far the best way to effect real change - so please do continue to spread the word about the Skills Builder Partnership.
