London’s Violence Reduction Unit was set up by the Mayor of London in 2019 and works in partnership with people and organisations in order to understand the complex causes of violence and prevent it from happening.
The Violence Reduction Unit is a team of specialists who bring people across London together to better understand why violence happens and to take action to prevent it now, and in the long term.
Their approach is rooted in prevention and early intervention and proudly champion and carry the voice of young people and communities across London.
They believe in the importance of education and being in school, and they’re invested in providing both support and positive opportunities for young people, working with communities to give them the tools and resources to deliver change where they live.
