The Kingswood Outdoor Activity Learning Award programme is designed to support the development of essential skills at impact level 3 using the Skills Builder framework. The Skills Builder framework is a set of essential skills that are required for success in education, work, and life.

The programme focuses on the development of all 8 essential skills, including:

  • Teamwork: The programme emphasizes the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation. Students work together to complete activities and projects, develop a shared understanding of goals, and support each other in achieving objectives.
  • Problem-solving: The programme provides students with opportunities to develop problem-solving skills through outdoor activities, challenges, and games. Students identify problems, generate solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Listening: The programme provides students with opportunities to practice active listening skills through instructions, briefings, and feedback.
  • Speaking: The programme encourages students to express their thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively through group activities, presentations, and discussions.
