In this dynamic, full-day workshop for KS2 and KS3, the experienced facilitators guide students through the story, characters, themes, and world of a Shakespearean play. Using award-winning rehearsal room techniques, young people bring the text to life, taking it from page to stage in just one day. The workshop culminates in a facilitated performance, celebrating the creativity and collaboration of the group. Along the way, participants improve oracy and unlock language skills, build confidence, and experience pride in their work. By working together, they develop essential communication and teamwork skills while engaging deeply with one of Shakespeare’s timeless stories.

The essential skills icons are included in the facilitators’ plan and displayed around the room as A4 posters as a constant visual reference for participants.Facilitators consistently define and explain which essential skills are being used in each activity. They invite participants to reflect on and identify the skills they are developing through the exercises.During the final sharing, participants are given the opportunity to speak about the essential skills they have worked with and reflect on their development.
