The Sparking Futures Employability Programme empowers girls and young women (aged 14 and above) to explore their ambitions, better understand the world of work, and build confidence through a range of inspiring opportunities:

  • Employability Skills Workshops: Practical sessions covering job applications, CV writing, interview preparation, and pathways into employment.
  • Work Experience & Insight Days: Hands-on career exploration through engaging holiday programmes.
  • Career Champions: One-to-one mentoring with professionals working in participants’ areas of interest.
  • Annual Career Panels: Inspiring women from a range of industries share their experiences and advice.
  • Young Volunteering: Opportunities to support the organisation's after-school clubs, providing meaningful, real-world experience.

In the Sparking Futures programme, the Skills Builder essential skills are brought to life through an immersive and intentional approach. The programme builds young people’s familiarity with the Framework by embedding the Skills Builder names, explanations, and icons throughout every element of delivery. It clearly demonstrates how each skill is applied within specific areas of employability, emphasising the importance of using these skills effectively in the workplace. In a dynamic and interactive setting, all eight essential skills are formally introduced, with dedicated time for participants to reflect on how the skills currently show up in their lives and explore practical strategies to strengthen them for the future.
