The MissionCX Work Insights Session (WIS), part of their Pathfinder Programme, provides students with an insight into the organisation and the sectors they serve to enable learners to make more informed career choices. The content introduces the Essential Skills and their definitions, with a focus on the importance of Listening, and discusses the link between essential skills and positive outcomes in the workplace. This can assist the students in education, employment, or wider life, with the theory brought to life through an interactive engineering activity.

The MissionCX WIS enables students to reflect on their levels of confidence in relation to four identified steps of Listening, with content created specifically to allow the students to apply the Essential Skill in practice and reflect on their progress at Intermediate level. Essential Skills icons - together with characters for each of the skills - are included on or in all resources including the presentation slides, and referred to throughout the session.
